Help recognize a Humanitarian Hero

Standard

beale_1Scott Beale founded AtlasCorps in 2006 and has since committed himself and the work of his organization to developing the world’s best nonprofit leaders.  AtlasCorps is now an international network of nonprofit leaders and organizations that promotes innovation, cooperation, and solutions to address the world’s 21st century challenges.

Through its fellowships program AtlastCorps has provided growth opportunities and development to thirteen generations of young leaders from all over the world, leaders who’ve taken what they’ve learned thanks to AtlasCorps and its partners and applied it back in their countries of origin.

Today, Scott and AtlasCorps are nominated for the Aidex Humanitarian Hero Award. Aidex the largest international humanitarian and development aid event in Europe.  Held annually in Brussels this honor would raise awareness about the unique work Atlas Corps is doing to develop the world’s best nonprofit leaders.

Scott is modest in saying that he does not feel like the best humanitarian of 2013 but I think the collective work from all of the people who have benefited from participating as AtlasCorps fellows as well as Scott’s commitment to grow AtlasCorps to what it is today, SHOULD be recognized. I’ve had the pleasure and honor of knowing Scott for some time now and I can say that he is truly a passionate and committed individual. We could really use more people like him in the world.

So this is me asking for all of you, dear readers, to do me a personal favor: Take a minute to click on either of the following links and help recognize Scott and AtlasCorps for their great work. Thanks in advance for your help and as always, for reading my blog!
